We normally expect explosive, exciting, epic and rather long novels from Peter F. Hamilton. So when I received A WINDOW INTO TIME, I was surprised to find it so small and perfectly-formed! But weighing in at approximately twenty-seven thousand words, this wonderful novella is just the perfect introduction to Peter's work - and a great palate-cleanser for a Peter F. Hamilton fan who finds themselves between actual novels. Please read on to find out more about this fabulous new acquisition. . .

PAN MACMILLAN ACQUIRES HIGH-CONCEPT NEW NOVELLA FROM PETER F. HAMILTON
Pan Macmillan is delighted to announce the acquisition of a fabulous new novella, A WINDOW INTO TIME, by bestselling author Peter F. Hamilton. Senior Commissioning editor Bella Pagan bought UK and Commonwealth rights from Antony Harwood, Antony Harwood Ltd.
The novella is a high-concept mystery set in London, with a compelling time-travel twist. In the novella, sixteen-year-old Julian has perfect recall, which means he has trouble finding his place in the world. But he really does know his own mind. So when he starts experiencing someone else’s memories, which are also glimpses of the future, Julian realizes he must find out why. It soon becomes clear that this unmet friend is in danger. And Julian resolves to do everything in his power to track down this mysterious other person – and prevent him from being killed.
Peter F. Hamilton commented: ‘The story of Julian is one that's been in the back of my head for a couple of years now. So while I was between novels at the end of 2015, I took the opportunity to finally get it written down. It's unusual for me in that it isn't set in the future or features a lot of shiny Science Fictional technology. Which makes me very happy that Macmillan was keen to publish it.’
Pagan said: ‘Peter F. Hamilton continues to bend his prodigious imagination to new challenges. He’s come up with something fresh and exciting in A WINDOW INTO TIME, and this will be a treat for new readers as well as loyal fans.’
Peter F. Hamilton is best known for his high-octane space adventures, which have been wowing science fiction fans since 1993. Ken Follett has said he is ‘owner of the most powerful imagination in science fiction’ and he’s been lauded by The Times and many more, the former calling a previous work ‘thrilling stuff; compulsively readable and abundantly full of ideas.’ Each new work is eagerly anticipated and his next new hardback is NIGHT WITHOUT STARS, out in September 2016. Pan Macmillan will publish A WINDOW INTO TIME in ebook later this year, in July 2016.
